TREASURE…
One of the most valuable gifts God gives you in life is quality time spent with your family. However, often times this treasure is neglected. And with the usage of social media, opportunities for great quality time spent together with family can be missed even when sitting in the very same room. It isn’t until later on, down the road of life, we look back and say “I wish I would have spent a little more time with ___________.”
God created family. Don’t let social media become a “time thief” in your life stealing valuable time away from you spending it with your family.
If you’ve been using social media for any good length of time, most likely you have already experienced falling victim to this. Realize though, it’s not good. If your guilty of this time and time again, just know there will come a day when you’re going to say, “I wish I wouldn’t have wasted so much time on social media when I was with my family.” That is, unless you decide right now that your going to put social media in its proper place in your life.
As a Christian, keep your priorities straight. Be intentional to spend valuable, quality time with your family knowing that these are memories you want to create that will last you a lifetime.
There is a time for social media, but…
Don’t fall victim to the casual, non-focused, approach of spending countless hours randomly scrolling through social media feeds. Instead, be more intentional in using social media platforms as a Christian to make an impact in our world today for the Kingdom of God.
When you take a more focused approach as a Christian,
You will find that not only does it free up more valuable time to spend with your family, but whenever you do interact with social media it’s not a total waiste of your time. When you purpose in your heart and mind as a Christian to use social media as a tool to reach the lost, you will find more fulfillment in your usage of your time spent on social media. And the time you do spend on social media, will at least be fruitful and productive time spent for the Kingdom of God.
